Christ Citadel International Church ("the Church," "we," "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect through our website, connect cards, and text-messaging program, how we use it, and the choices you have.
INFORMATION WE COLLECT
- Contact information you give us, such as your name, mobile phone number, email address, and preferred language.
- Church involvement information you choose to share, such as ministries or groups you participate in.
- Text-messaging records, including your consent to receive texts (when, how, and the consent wording you agreed to), messages you send to us, messages we send to you, and delivery status.
- Basic technical information when you submit our online sign-up form, such as your IP address and browser type, which we keep as a record of your consent.
HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
We use your information only to:
- Send you the church communications you asked for, such as service reminders, event announcements, newsletters, and ministry updates.
- Respond to messages and prayer or information requests you send us.
- Keep records of your consent and opt-out choices.
- Manage church ministries and improve how we communicate.
TEXT MESSAGING AND MOBILE INFORMATION
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text-messaging opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, except service providers that deliver messages on our behalf, and only to provide that service. We never sell or rent your phone number.
HOW WE SHARE INFORMATION
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only:
- With service providers that help us operate, such as our text-message delivery provider (Twilio) and our secure hosting providers. They may use your information only to provide services to us.
- When required by law, or to protect the safety of our members or others.
We understand that information about your church involvement is personal. We limit access to authorized church staff and volunteers who need it to serve you.
HOW WE PROTECT YOUR INFORMATION
Our messaging system uses encrypted connections, access restricted by role, two-factor authentication for staff, and activity logs. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
HOW LONG WE KEEP INFORMATION
We keep contact information while you remain connected with the church. Message content is removed after about two years, and messages from people who are not in our contacts are deleted after about six months. If you opt out of texts, we keep a record of your phone number and opt-out so that we never text you again.
YOUR CHOICES
- Stop texts: reply STOP to any message.
- Access or delete your information: contact us at ccicpomona@gmail.com. We will provide a copy of the information we hold about you, or delete it. If you ask us to delete your information, we will keep only your phone number and opt-out record so we do not contact you again.
- Update your information: contact us or speak with the church office.
CHILDREN
Our text-messaging program is intended for adults and for minors only with a parent's or guardian's permission. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13 without parental consent.
CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date above shows when it was last changed.
